Welcome to
registration 101. The following pages will review keys to better playing,
different types of theatre organ ranks, and popular registrations that you
may not be familiar with. The intent is to expand your enjoyment of music and
theatre organ. The Allen GW4 is pictured because this presentation was
initially hosted at our local Allen dealer “The Beautiful Sound”. They have
been very supportive of theatre organ activities, including providing
instruments for theatre organ chapter presentations. I am sure that Allen
chose George Wright, as the focal point of its ground breaking series of
digitally sampled theatre organs, based his incredible genius and magnificent
recordings. George and his music continue to serve as inspiration to theatre
organ enthusiasts throughout the world, because just as with Bach and
Beethoven, truly great musicians never die. They live on through their music,
and touch generation after generation.
